Shift Supervisor - Car Wash

JOB DESCRIPTION – SHIFT SUPERVISOR

Mint Express is looking for a Shift Supervisor for our growing customer base. Applicants who can demonstrate organization and command, enjoy interacting with customers, are energetic, communicative and confident are suitable for this position. Commitment: Full Time; 30-40 hours per week

Compensation: $10 - $15 per hour based on experience; commissions

Job Responsibilities

• Represents the business in a professional and friendly manner
• Ability to lead the team
• Greet customers with a smile, have clean attire and appearance, and clear understanding of the systems and offerings
• Sell car washes, memberships, gift cards, detailing services and any running promotions, and handle any customer queries professionally and politely
• Load cars safely in the tunnel and guide them safely through the wash
• Look for signs of possible vehicle damage, ability to identify vehicles that cannot be accepted into the tunnel
• Execute frequent inspections of assigned car wash areas to maintain cleanliness, clean out trash, vacuums, replenish towels etc. and other light janitorial duties
• Maintain a safe working environment for self and team by knowing and following all safety protocols
• Learn and execute the opening and closing of the facility including daily safety checks and maintenance checks to ensure a safe and efficient workday
• Ensures that the property looks pristine - roadway, cones, signs and terminals are clean, and customers are greeted with a smile
• Perform repair and preventative maintenance for the car wash, vacuums, and other equipment
• Interact professionally with other team members and customers
• Perform other duties as required to run the business smoothly
• Learn to operate the pay station systems, handle customer queries with politeness and maintain a high level of efficiency during peak hours
• Engages in any other activities that are required to meet the accountabilities and expectations for this role

Job requirements

• 18 years of age
• Clear, effective communication skills. Must know fluent English. Some understanding of Spanish or other languages is a plus
• Ability to follow processes, dependable, display courteous and professional attitude
• Must have reliable transport, be punctual and quality oriented
• Previous retail, customer-service, or carwash experience a plus.
• Willing to work various schedules such as weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
• Must be able to stand/walk for duration of shift and work outdoors and in all weather conditions
• Shifts may range between 8-12 hours
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Regularly lift /move up to 50 lbs
• Proficient skill level with hand and power tools is a plus

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
