Job Summary

The Patient Liaison will report to our Houston office and provide administrative support for multiple medical practices. This role serves as the primary point of contact for patients while coordinating appointments, insurance verification, patient communications, and other day-to-day administrative functions to ensure outstanding patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate patient check-in while ensuring accurate demographic, insurance, and medical information is obtained and documented.
  • Schedule new and existing patient appointments, procedures, and follow-up visits using AdvancedMD or a comparable Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
  • Answer incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and manage appointment requests professionally and courteously.
  • Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, referrals, and prior authorizations as needed.
  • Assist patients with appointment questions, required documentation, and office policies.
  • Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and all healthcare privacy regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, clinical staff, and administrative team members to support efficient patient flow and clinic operations.
  • Coordinate daily administrative activities, including scheduling, billing support, accounting assistance, and office workflow.
  • Process medical records, scan documents, upload patient information, and perform accurate data entry.
  • Monitor provider schedules and assist with appointment confirmations and patient recalls.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception environment.
  • Support initiatives focused on patient satisfaction, operational efficiency, and quality healthcare delivery.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare administrative, patient services, medical receptionist, or medical office role required.
  • Experience in general surgery, specialty care, surgical, vascular, or multi-provider medical practice preferred.
  • Experience with AdvancedMD or another Electronic Health Record (EHR) system preferred.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, insurance verification, referrals, prior authorizations, and HIPAA compliance.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, reliability, and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting multiple providers or physician practices.
  • Knowledge of medical billing workflows and front-office operations.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required.

Pay: Up to $55,000.00 per year
