The Minot Public School District is seeking applicants for substitute teaching.
Salary: $150.00/ full day
A substitute employee is one hired with the understanding that their association with the school district will be on a substitute basis, as needed, because of the absence of an employee. A substitute may be called the day before they are needed or early in the morning on the day of the absence of the regular employee due to illness or other obligations.

In North Dakota, every substitute teacher must possess a current North Dakota Teaching Certificate. This certificate is issued by the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction. You will need to submit fingerprint cards for a background check. To find a fingerprinting service, do an internet search for 'fingerprinting near me' for local results.
Steps to become a substitute teacher with MPS:
1. When you have obtained a substitute/teaching license from NDDPI, please complete an application with Minot Public School District for Substitute Teacher.
2. An automated email will be sent to you with a request to reach out to Sarah Putt for employment forms. *This message is frequently sent to spam/junk folders. Please check there if you don't see an email from the system.
3. Sarah Putt will email you a link to the employee records system to complete employment forms such as direct deposit, tax withholding, and emergency contact information.
4. Contact Sarah Putt when all forms are completed and a 30-minute virtual orientation will be scheduled.
5. Upon completion of the orientation, a final face-to-face meeting will take place with Sarah Putt. This meeting is to complete in-person employment forms and take a photo for your badge.
