Assembly Technician

Job Title: Assembly-Drill Department

Reports to: Department Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Department: Assembly

SUMMARY: Produce pneumatic drilling machines by assembling parts and subassemblies. Responsible for the assembling of components being made into finished goods in the Drill Department.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following, however, other duties may be assigned.

• Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.

• Select or modify components according to specifications.

• Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards set forth by Minnich Manufacturing

• Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary to produce products within specifications.

• Reject product outside of specifications.

• Set up assembly area for optimum efficiency.

• Assemble items as instructed by Team Leader.

• Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.

• Follow all company rules and policies.

• Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.

• Follow all safety rules and quality standards.

• Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.

• Reject product outside of specifications.

• Uphold all safety standards applicable to the responsibilities above.

• As well as perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• High School education.

• Six months to one-year related assembly experience.

• Experience with pneumatic systems, torque specifications and mechanical assembly preferred.

• Pneumatic experience is required

• Ability to lift heavy items consistently required.

• Knowledge of production processes, and other techniques for maximizing efficiency.

• Ability to produce quality products consistently.

• Ability to follow instructions given both verbally and in written form.

• Willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities as well as dependable work ethic.

• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs and uses.

• Ability to read drawings, calipers, tape measures and angle gauges.

• Ability to read and interpret documents furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, quality manuals and procedure manuals

• Ability to perform simple book keeping tasks.

• Must be reliable with a strong work ethic.

• Ability to stand continuously for long periods of time.

• Willing to work 40 hours a week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
