What are the responsibilities and job description for the Class III Cook Manager at Scenic Heights Elementary, 7.5 hours per day position at Minnetonka Public Schools?
- Supervise the daily meal preparation and service in accordance with Federal, State and local safety and sanitation regulations.
- Collect information and maintain operational records, including daily food production records, inventory records, daily temperature logs and quality assurance forms.
- Provide supervision over the kitchen staff, including completing performance reviews, approving time sheets, maintaining absence logs, inspecting work stations, and training new staff.
- Work alongside Kitchen staff including: food prep, servings, cashiering and end of day tasks.
- Oversee the receiving, storage and ordering of the building's food and supplies.
- Attend monthly Team Leaders' meetings.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.
- MN Department of Health Certified Food Protection Manager Certificate or ability to obtain within 90 days of hiring date. Must maintain.
- Membership in School Nutrition Association (SNA) and Level 4 completion within 90 days from date of hire. Must maintain.
- Two years work experience in school food service or in a related food service operation.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Evidence of good organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction to coworkers, supervisor, the general public sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position (including the ability to lift up to 40 pounds) as assessed through a preplacement physical at Concentra.
