Responsibilities
- Support planning, design and delivery of youth programs, camps, clinics, and partnerships
- Recruit and communicate with coaches, volunteers, and community partners
- Develop marketing strategies to promote programs through social media, email, and outreach efforts
- Help manage registrations, equipment, logistics, and participant communication
- Build relationships with schools, nonprofits, parks and recreation departments, and youth-serving organizations
- Conduct research, collect feedback and help evaluate program impact
- Develop systems and resources that support long-term program sustainability
- Bachelor’s degree
- U.S. citizen or permanent resident
- Strong problem-solving, communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Passion for youth development, sports, recreation, and/or community service
- Strong work ethic that is proactive, self-motivated and accountable
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a federal background check
AmeriCorps VISTA Benefits & Compensation
- $960 bi-weekly living allowance provided through AmeriCorps
- End-of-service award: $7,395 Segal Education Award (scholarship/student loan repayment), or $1,800 cash stipend option
- Relocation assistance for candidates moving 50 miles including mileage reimbursement and $750 relocation allowance
- 20 days of paid leave during the service term
