Position Summary: The Manager, Digital Content leads the planning, creation, and execution of content across the Iowa Wild’s digital platforms, balancing player storytelling and fan engagement with revenue-driving marketing initiatives. This role manages social channels in real time, capturing and publishing player-focused and game day content while also executing sponsored posts, ticketing campaigns, and promotional messaging that supports organizational goals. By collaborating across marketing, partnerships, and revenue teams, the position ensures content is both engaging and strategic, strengthening fan connection while driving measurable business impact.

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

  • Drive revenue through promotions, partnerships, and game-related marketing efforts on digital platforms.
    • Plan and publish sponsored social media content.
    • Ensure partner deliverables are fulfilled (tagging, messaging, timing).
    • Collaborate with sponsors on branded campaigns and activations.
    • Promote ticket sales, ticket packs, and special offers.
    • Support merchandise and in-arena promotions.
    • Coordinate messaging with marketing and sales teams.
    • Promote in-game activations and sponsor integrations.
    • Drive real-time calls to action (tickets, upcoming games, promotions).
    • Work closely with the Director, Revenue Marketing and Merchandise Operations to analyze metrics, optimize content strategy, and share actionable insights.
  • Build the Iowa Wild brand and connect with fans through engaging, real-time content.
    • Manage Iowa Wild social media accounts (posting, scheduling, approvals).
    • Capture and publish behind-the-scenes content (locker room, travel, practice).
    • Create player-focused content (interviews, highlights, lifestyle moments).
    • Maintain brand voice and consistency across platforms.
    • Monitor comments, DMs, and player-related trends.
    • Engage with fans (likes, replies, reposts).
    • Support player milestones and personal campaigns.
    • Post game day content.
    • Share real-time player highlights and reactions during games.
    • Capture live, behind-the-scenes content on game day.
    • Post live game updates (scores, stats, key moments).
    • Publish official game graphics (starting lineup, halftime, final score).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Formal Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 
  • Possessing a digital portfolio of creative/design projects a plus. 

 

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Two to five years of digital marketing and/or communications experience. 
  • Previous experience developing, planning and executing social media outlets for a professional organization 
  • Graphic design experience.
  • Demonstrated creative mindset with a passion about excellent creative execution. 
  • High proficiency in the use of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Premiere. 
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Work Conditions:

  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed for games and events. 
  • Physical requirements include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, etc. 
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs.
