OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION: To serve as the Department Director Minnesota Valley Action Council, Inc.; to oversee the planning, direction, implementation, and management of all programs within the Department and to insure the efficient and effective administration, execution and outcome attainment of all Department initiatives & programs. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: Ensure the Department programs and staff comply with Federal and State laws, regulations, policies and procedures. Responsible for supervision of Community Services Department staff. Oversee Department financial and programmatic plans and evaluate effectiveness on an ongoing basis. TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee the planning, direction, and implementation of Community Service programs. Review all program monitoring results, implement corrective action. Responsible for supervision of Community Services Staff. Review and interpret local, state, and federal program regulations. Direct staff selection process in coordination with MVAC Human Resources Oversee department financial and programmatic plans and evaluate effectiveness on an ongoing basis. Establish program budgets, modify budgets as expenditure pattern warrants, allocate funds and develop and negotiate program grant applications. Establish and maintain liaisons between funding source representatives and MVAC. Ensure timely and accurate reporting.
