What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barrel Finisher position at Minnesota Trailer Operations?
THIS POSITION IS LOCATED AT POLAR TANK TRAILER
POSITION SUMMARY: Perform all assigned tasks necessary to manufacture products per drawings, customer specifications, and other forms of instruction by following standard work methods and practicing safe work habits to ensure that production is as efficient and safe as possible.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Commitment to a safety culture where safety is the first consideration before starting any task.
- Proficient in fabrication and/or assembly techniques and use of the equipment/tools required to accomplish the process.
- Proficient in basic material handling techniques.
- Ability to receive both written and verbal assignments.
- Proficient in problem analysis and resolution.
- Effective and willing communicator.
- Strong team player.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma, GED or similar experience.
- Vocational school/training.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas were all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shops and other mandatory safety equipment.
- For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Sitting or standing as needed.
- Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
- Reaching, pushing, pulling or lifting as required within limits set by Entrans International LLC.
