Position Summary/Objective: This person will aid the Timberwolves’ content team with capturing content, included but not limited to gamedays, to implement the organization’s content strategies and objectives. This will be a seasonal part-time role, to last through the regular NBA season and potential playoffs.
Expected availability is for all home and away Timberwolves games.
This role will require late hours and overnight video editing, for content to be published in the mornings and early afternoons.

Responsibilities & Requirements
Experience: 3 years of video editing
Compensation: $17.00/hour
Supervisory Responsibility: This position does not have supervisory responsibility
Travel: Position may require travel.
Work Environment
This job splits duties within a professional office environment and within a sports arena. Office hours may vary on a day-to-day basis which will include evenings, weekends and holidays. In addition to working office hours staff will work external events, including but not limited to charity and networking events. Office work is generally sedentary in nature. The office working environment is generally favorable. Office lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Office work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available. This job also operates in a sports arena, which includes ascending and descending bleachers/steps, walking on a catwalk over arena floor (100 feet up), and crawling into tight and dimly lit spaces (under bleachers/risers) to troubleshoot technology issues. In the sports arena the work conditions may sometimes be dirty from prior events in the arena (sticky and dirty floors) .
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, kneel, or crawl. The employee may frequently remain in a stationary position, as well as operate computers and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, printer and telephone. Staff will frequently ascend and descend bleachers/steps and traverse around the building both on event days and non-event days. Staff may occasionally move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities & Requirements
- Edit game recaps, highlight reels, and player features with a strong sense of pacing, music, and storytelling.
- Identify elements and potential storylines from NBA live games and tentpole events
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop platform-specific, on-trend, consistent, and high-quality video content, including completing as many revisions as needed to showcase our talent.
- Cut and edit raw video content collected from multiple sources into compelling social media content on platforms such as YouTube, Tik Tok, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
- Deep understanding of TikTok/Reels style editing and curation
- Edit promotional and branded content for league initiatives and tentpole events (e.g., NBA Cup, All-Star, Playoffs, Awards).
- Edit and deliver high-quality video content for multiple platforms including YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, X, Timberwolves App.
- Maintain brand consistency and editorial standards across all content.
- Stay current with trends in sports media, social video, and editing techniques to keep content fresh and relevant.
- Ability to manage their time between small and quick projects that have quick turnaround times, to being able to focus and drive to bigger and larger projects.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and in a fast-paced, deadline-based, ever-changing environment while remaining organized and detail-oriented.
- Possess an exceptional work ethic, a strong desire to succeed, and a professional demeanor
- Strong knowledge of basketball and the NBA preferred.
