Position Summary/Objective:  Individuals in this position will be responsible for overall camp/clinic experience of 50 players and coaches.  

Essential Functions 

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform these essential functions: 

1. Work closely with camp/clinic staff to set up and break down clinic.
2. Solve facility/player issues with creative problem solving.
3. Work closely with Academy Site Director to ensure quality control.
4. Lead daily communication to camp staff, provide daily feedback to Academy Director.
5. Build rapport with participants, guardians, and staff of each event.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other: 

1. Strong verbal communication skills required. 
2. Knowledge and experience working with laptops and mobile devices required. 
3. Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays. 
4. Ability to work well on a team and independently. 
5. Ability to engage well with others. 
6. Ability to respond to any situation quickly and professionally.     

Experience: Previous coaching experience is preferred.  

Education: Pursuit of bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. 

Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: None required. 

Supervisory Responsibility, if any: This position does not have supervisory responsibility 

Benefits & Compensation:

• Sales Compensation: The hourly rate for this part-time position is $25/hour. 
• Benefits: Parking expenses are covered.

Work Environment 

Work is active and energetic in nature. The position operates out of a sports facility. The working environment is favorable. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by dust, etc. The noise level is loud during events. During events work is generally performed on court, around the gym and bleachers/steps, as well as in the open hallways and entrance of school/community centers. 

Physical Demands 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others in person. The employee frequently is required be on feet and lead basketball instruction. The employee rarely remains in stationary position and is frequently required to perform athletic movements. Staff may assist with set-up/break-down at camp/clinic weighing up to 20 pounds. 

Travel: Position may require travel in and out of the metro area.
