M State is seeking a strategic and student-focused leader to serve as Director of Student Financial Services. This position provides leadership, direction, and oversight of financial aid and student financial services programs, ensuring compliance, operational excellence, and a strong, student-centered experience. This position can be located in Moorhead, Fergus Falls, or Wadena, Minnesota.
- Lead and administer all financial aid and student financial services programs
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations
- Oversee financial aid operations including awarding, disbursement, verification, and reporting
- Manage budgets, fiscal controls, and financial aid funding processes
- Supervise, coach, and evaluate financial aid staff
- Collaborate across departments to support enrollment, retention, and student success
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and continuous improvement strategies
- Lead financial communication efforts to provide clear, accessible information to students and families
- Advance equity, access, and affordability through financial aid strategies
- Use data and analytics to evaluate program effectiveness and improve outcomes

- 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
- Please note our summer hours: effective May 20 – July 28, 2026 – summer hours will be Monday through Thursday 7:30 AM – 5 PM and Friday 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM (excluding the following weeks which will be five, 8-hour days due to the holiday)
- Juneteenth – June 17 - June 23
- Fourth of July – July 1 – July 7
