What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tooth Fairy/Dental Assistant position at Minnesota School Sealant Program?
We are looking for someone who is passionate about public health dentistry and wants to improve the lives of elementary students throughout the state of Minnesota. You must also be a good tooth fairy (see pictures at www.schoolsealants.com). You would be providing preventive services such as sealants, prophy, fluoride varnish, oral health screenings and oral hygiene instructions in a school setting with a portable dental unit. We have teams of two dental hygienists or hygienist/assistant that go to all our participating schools.
This is a part time job for 1-2 days a week average with flexible scheduling October-May. Right now for this year we have a hygienist that will be starting in May so that would be our starting time frame for this year. We can accommodate any days of the week that would work for you Monday-Friday.
This is an ideal job for someone who may be looking at transitioning into retirement and wants to give back. Or a stay at home parent who wants to have extra income but have summers off with their kids. Or someone who is looking for direct patient interaction and is great with kids.
Must have transportation and be willing to travel to schools throughout Minnesota within 2 hours from your location. We pay for your travel time and reimburse mileage.
