What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from EAC-ABET-accredited program.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- If not already a Minnesota Professional Engineer, must have the ability to become licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota within six months.
- Four years or more of related engineering experience.
- A master’s degree in engineering may be equivalent for up to one year of related experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to project sites.
- This position may be subject to assessment of skills, job match, and/or aptitude.
- Project and construction management experience.
- Provide engineering expertise, including design and design oversight, on capital projects for transmission/distribution lines, substations, and generation facilities.
- Manage energy related projects from inception to delivery with responsibilities including project schedule development, engineering oversight, budgeting, permitting, security, procurement, bidding, contracting and construction.
- Develop and lead civil and structural engineering projects, guiding teams, vendors, and consultants to ensure performance, goal achievement, and successful execution.
- Actively engage in all project phases from conceptualization through construction and commissioning with time spent both in office and in the field.
- Support development of standards for design, materials, construction, and operations.
- Work on cutting-edge renewable energy and grid modernization initiatives.
- Gain exposure to thermal plants, emerging technologies, and large-scale infrastructure.
