Position Overview
We are seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join our team. In this role, you’ll deliver advanced neonatal care, collaborate with a skilled multidisciplinary team, and support families through one of the most critical times in their lives—all within a practice model led by nurse practitioners and strengthened by physician partnership.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for high-risk and critically ill neonates, including advanced assessments, procedures, and treatment planning.
- Perform specialized interventions such as intubation, central line placement, and ventilator management.
- Lead and participate in neonatal resuscitation and emergency stabilization.
- Collaborate with neonatologists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and allied health professionals.
- Partner with families, offering education, guidance, and discharge planning support.
- Lead provider for ground and air neonatal transport services, extending advanced care to newborns across Minnesota.
- Contribute to quality improvement projects, staff education, and evidence-based practice initiatives.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing with Neonatal Nurse Practitioner specialization.
- Current Minnesota APRN license and NNP-BC certification.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a practicing Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (preferred)
- Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills.
