Small Business, Big Goals
Incorporated in 1991 with the focus and intent of servicing tabletop autoclaves and other small-scale clinical devices, Minnesota Medical Specialists, Inc. quickly branched out into servicing a litany of other biomedical devices and products throughout late 1990s and early 2000s.  Soon enough, what began as a two-technician operation servicing a limited scope of devices in the Twin Cities metro-area of Minnesota, grew into over a dozen employees providing services and equipment sales to thousands of customers comprising a huge array of device types and brands across the upper Midwestern United States.

Throughout the 2010s, Minnesota Medical Specialists continued to add on more customers, equipment, service regions, and other businesses.  In 2017-2018, MN MED started up its biomedical refrigeration service arm, Minnesota Medical Refrigeration (formerly known as Harasyn’s Refrigeration Service, Inc.), and began providing maintenance and repair services for biomedical, pharmaceutical and laboratory refrigeration devices.  Today, Minnesota Medical Refrigeration specializes in the repair, maintenance, and rebuilding of ultra-low freezers, vaccine storage units, environmental chambers, incubators, and freeze-dryers.  Our on-site repair facility allows customers to ship and courier their devices straight to us.

Additionally in the mid 2010s, Minnesota Medical Specialists began its first service contracts in the realm of bulk sterilization and large scale autoclaves.  MN MED now manages the service and maintenance of over 100 of these devices across the upper Midwest, with customers ranging from large public universities and massive research and development plants to small, private pharmaceutical start up enterprises.  Since making the leap to bulk sterilizer service, Minnesota Medical has also branched out to servicing other large sterile-processing devices, such as biomedical glassware, cage and rack washers.

In 2020, Minnesota Medical Specialists began providing services in the Kansas City metro area by way of its inaugural remote technician branch.  Finally in 2021, Minnesota Medical brought on additional clinical and biomedical service business growth through the acquisition of long-time upper Midwest therapeutic and dental clinic imaging service provider Pro Select Services, Inc.
