This position is designated a part-time and primarily evening shift. The work schedule will include at least 32 hours per 2-week pay period and may include additional work hours, based on business needs. This position performs routine tasks involved in food preparation, food service, dishwashing, and cleaning the food service area. Work involves following instructions and established procedures. Cooking is done on a level of short order cooking in a snack bar.

The Minneapolis Home is located on Minnehaha Avenue, which has connecting highways and public transportation options for an easy commute. The beautiful 53-acre wooded campus includes mature oaks and pines, nature trails and biking paths overlooking the Mississippi River.

- Materials and methods used in preparing food.
- Care and use of cooking utensils and equipment.
- Food values and nutrition.
- Perform simple cooking on a large scale.
- Plan and prepare small meals on a household scale.
- Perform cleaning and food service tasks.
- To read diet cards and following instructions.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Food service-related experience specifically with prepping, plating and serving food.
- Knowledge of basic sanitation standards.
- ServSafe Food Certificate.
- Knowledge of International Dysphagia Diet Standardization Initiative (IDDSI).
This position also requires successful completion of the following:
