This position is eligible for hybrid telework. Employees living within 50 miles of the primary work location will be required to work in the office at least 50% of the time each month. Employees may reside outside the state of Minnesota if they live in a state bordering Minnesota and are within 50 miles of the primary work location. This position exists primarily to provide advanced technical expertise and support, coordinate project activities and act as a liaison among stakeholders for the OnBase case management system in the Labor Standards Division.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee, manage, lead and implement tasks and related work groups that plan, analyze, recommend, design, and implement changes to the Labor Standards’ case management system, OnBase.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that newly developed systems meet the needs of DLI and the Labor Standards Division.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Three (3) or more years of experience* conducting project management, process improvement, change management, or related activities.
  • Doctorate or juris doctor degree may substitute for two years of experience; Master’s degree may substitute for 18 months of experience; Bachelor’s degree may substitute for one year of experience; Associate’s degree may substitute for six months of experience.
  • Experience managing or working closely with database systems and/or information management systems and solutions.
  • Ability to create and update training documents and reports, process manuals, instructional guides, and visualizations that simplify information for audiences with various degrees of knowledge or awareness.
  • Analytical skills sufficient to run reports, conduct comprehensive audits, identify problems, and formulate process improvement projects with an awareness on end user results.
  • Skill using Microsoft Office software products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams, sufficient to train and coach employees on how best to utilize the technology.
  • Communication skills sufficient to instruct, collaborate, inform and interact with internal and external stakeholders in person, over the phone, and email.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with a wide range of backgrounds, who may not share the same culture, ethnicity, language, or other common experiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a System Administrator or in a role with responsibilities for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of a computer system, preferably Hyland OnBase products.
  • Experience with programs such as OnBase, SharePoint, Adobe, PowerPoint, Miro, Azure DevOps, Snag-it, and One-Drive.
  • Knowledge of Minnesota Labor Standards laws and agency policies and procedures.
  • Language skills other than English (Somali, Spanish, Hmong, Karen or ASL).
