This position provides installation and maintenance to electrical-electronic related apparatuses, buildings, machinery, and commercial kitchen equipment at the Minnesota Correctional Facility (MCF) – Moose Lake. Primary responsibilities include:
Minimum Qualifications
To be qualified for and considered for this position, applicants must meet all of the minimum qualifications listed below. You must be registered with the Department of Labor and Industry as a Class A Journey or Master Electrician

The completion of pre-placement physical components may be required prior to hire for this position. These components consist of a physical examination, a drug test and/or tuberculosis screening. The selection process may include screening the top candidate(s) on their criminal history, predatory offender registration, offender associations and/or other applicable background information in accordance with Department of Corrections’ policy.

- Provide maintenance, installation and Supervision while supervising an Incarcerated Person (IP) work crew on repairs to all commercial kitchen equipment, electrical distribution panels, and related electrical equipment.
- Provide service, maintenance, training, and installations with an IP work crew to the facility Fire alarm systems
- Provides training and documentation for assigned IP work crew on proper safety practices and installation procedures of repairs, preventive maintenance repairs and projects.
- Maintain security of all tools, equipment and supplies so that the security of the facility is not compromised.
Minimum Qualifications
