Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Public Utilities Rates Analyst 3 or 4 to join our team. The position serves as a technical expert on regional electric transmission issues impacting utility service in Minnesota.

Duties

  • Coordinate and provide technical and policy analysis related to regional transmission planning, regional energy markets, and related federal matters.
  • Provide technical and policy information and assistance related to regional transmission, energy markets, forecasting, and other issues in dockets.
  • Supporting consultant teams in development of technical studies and research.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years of experience performing analysis, exercising judgment, and relying on knowledge in:
  • Energy Policy;
  • Public Policy
  • Environmental Policy; or
  • Energy Regulation

A Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Policy, Environmental Policy, Planning/Regional Studies, Pre-Law, or related field is equivalent to one (1) year of experience.

An Advanced degree in Business, Public Policy, Environmental Policy, Planning/Regional Studies, Law, or related field is equivalent to eighteen (18) months of experience.

Applicants who meet the above education/experience requirement will be further evaluated based on the following:

  • Experience writing formal reports for a range of audiences and stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze a wide range of data and clearly communicate results and impacts.
  • Experience writing and presenting recommendations to decision making bodies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $68,883.00 - $109,682.00 per year
