What are the responsibilities and job description for the Water Production Worker - ALP Utilities position at Minnesota City Jobs?
The Water Production Worker is responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair, and monitoring of municipal water treatment and distribution systems to ensure safe and reliable water service. Performs maintenance on wells, pumps, water mains, hydrants, valves, meters, and treatment plant equipment, while operating construction and maintenance equipment as needed. Responds to service issues and emergencies, maintains facilities and grounds, supports after-hours on-call operations, and ensures compliance with safety standards and licensing requirements. Residency requirement would be roughly 15 minutes from residence to ALP Utilities. This position is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, non- exempt, union position. Hours are Monday – Friday from 7:30AM-4:00PM. ALP Utilities benefits include Health Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Long-Term Disability, Basic Life and AD&D, Health Saving Account, Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) and Deferred Compensation. Paid vacation, sick leave (ESST) and holidays.
