The City of Appleton is currently accepting applications for a Public Works Supervisor. The position, under limited direction, supervises, inspects and evaluates the work of personnel in the operations, maintenance and repair of water, sewer and storm drain systems, streets, sidewalks, curbs, gutters, cemetery, swimming pool; performs more complex duties associated with water, sewer and storm drain systems operations. Minimum qualifications: 5 years municipal experience, high school diploma or GED and MN Class B CDL with air brake and manual transmission. Preferred qualifications: 2 years supervisory experience, Class C Water and Wastewater licenses, supplemental training in public works and education in supervisory practices. The successful candidate must complete and pass a pre-employment physical and drug test and is subject to post-accident, random, reasonable suspicion, return to duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing required by federal regulations.
