What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paid on Call Fire fighter - Big Lake position at Minnesota City Jobs?
This is a competitive opportunity. To ensure timely emergency response, all on-call firefighters must reside within a designated area of the City of Big Lake or Big Lake Township. Selected candidates must complete approximately 200 hours of required training during their probationary period. Training covers fire suppression, search and rescue, emergency medical response, hazardous materials, and more.
Minimum Qualifications:
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Minimum age of 18
•Valid Minnesota Class D driver’s license
•Must live within 7 miles of the Big Lake Fire Station
•Ability to pass all required pre-employment screenings, including a physical exam
Rate of Pay: Starting at $16.50 per hour
