The assistant finance director supports financial operations by preparing budget and audit materials, producing financial and regulatory reports, maintaining accurate accounting records, and supervising utility billing staff. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; 3 years’ experience in the accounting field (including AR, AP, and payroll work); and at least 1 year’s supervisory experience. Preferred qualifications: 3 years in governmental finance and experience with utility billing software, comprehensive financial report preparation/auditing, and budget preparation/capital planning.
Successful candidates must also satisfactorily pass criminal background, credit, and driver’s license checks.
