The Minnehaha County Treasurer's Office invites applications for a Tax and License Technician to join our team of talented employees in order to assist the residents of Minnehaha County with motor vehicle and real estate transactions. How You Will Make an Impact
- Handle motor vehicle titles, registrations, transfers, renewals, fees, taxes, permits, and records.
- Review and process motor vehicle documents and financial materials, ensuring compliance.
- Offer customer service and technical support by phone, in person, and in writing for motor vehicle issues.
- Enter, verify, and update vehicle registrations, applications, and tax records; compile and validate data.
- Balance and reconcile daily financial transactions, correct discrepancies, and prepare cash bags.

Tax and License Assistant
What You Need to Succeed in this Role
High school diploma or GED and one year of customer service and cash handling experience. Comparable combination of education and experience may be considered. Must successfully complete pre-employment background process.
Excellent customer service skills. Working knowledge of modern office practices. Knowledge of and skill in using technology and related software systems. Effective verbal and written communication. Ability to build and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with colleagues, other agencies, and the public. Present a professional appearance and communicate with others in a respectful and approachable way.
