Driving Range and Golf Cart Attendant

Minnehaha Country Club is celebrating our 121st year of operations and is Sioux Falls’ premier country club, operates year-round and serves a membership of approximately 720 families. The Club features an immaculate championship 18-hole golf course and one of the finest restaurants in Sioux Falls, as well as swimming, tennis, and fitness amenities.

The Golf Outside Services team is an integral part of the golf operations at Minnehaha in providing a great customer experience. The service staff has direct contact with the members on a daily basis. Duties include; outside golf operations, bag room management, tending to members, cart fleet operations, range duties, and more. Seasonal full and part-time positions available; the Outside Service Team provides great opportunities for a wide range of employees from students to retirees.

Compensation and Benefits

• The position is an hourly position starting from $11.50 - $13.50 per hour plus gratuities commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Staging golf carts, and ensuring carts are properly cleaned and equipped.
• Manage bag storage room for daily play and storage.
• Responsible for cleaning and storing Member’s golf clubs.
• Greeting members and guests.
• Provide each member and guest with personal attention to ensure their needs are handled and exceeded.
• Ensure driving range and equipment is properly stocked, organized, and maintained.
• Setting up the driving range upon opening and clearing the range upon closing of the practice facilities.
• Help facilitate tournament coordination and prep including for The Sanford International, a PGA Tour Champions event held mid-September.

Knowledge, Experience and Abilities

• No previous education or experience required, but prior customer service experience is preferred.
• Friendly and welcoming personality.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Hard working and detail oriented.
• Must maintain a positive, professional attitude, and appearance.
• A basic knowledge and understanding of golf is preferred, but not required.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Available to work flexible hours (weekdays, weekends, mornings, evenings, potential holidays).
• Availability to work seasonally in the spring and fall months is highly beneficial.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• This position hours are variable from part time to full time 40 hours per week based on each candidates needs coinciding with seasonal schedules.
• You must be able to reach, bend, stretch, twist, stoop, and stand.
• You must be able to push and lift up to 40 pounds safely, must be able to stand for prolonged periods.

• May be asked to work in fluctuating outside weather conditions to properly fulfill job duties while seeking shelter within severe weather conditions should they arrive.
