Minneapolis College is currently seeking a full-time, unlimited Dean of the School of Nursing, Health Sciences and Wellness within the MnSCU Administrator 6 classification. The individual in this position provides leadership, direction, and administrative support to the School of Nursing, Health Sciences and Wellness, and division-wide strategic leadership in health care education. The individual in this position participates as part of a team to provide an innovative climate for programs targeted at health care and wellness, community outreach and other educational training needs of the community.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supervise and evaluate instructional programs and courses in assigned areas.
- Provide division-wide strategic leadership for health care and health-related education and related initiatives.
- Prepare and administer budgets in assigned areas.
- Provide necessary services to students in areas of assigned responsibility.
- Provide support and leadership to faculty and staff in meeting accreditation requirements in accredited health care programs.
- Maintain relationships with faculty, community agencies, clinical sites, advisory committees, business and other groups.
- Direct public relations, publicity, and other communication systems.
- Participate in other activities related to college administration.

Salary Range:
Placement within the salary range for the MnSCU Administrator 6 classification is determined on the basis of relevant experience and in accordance with the 2025– 2027 Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Personnel Plan for Administrators. Range midpoint is $124,307.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated experience in academic leadership, either as a higher education or health care administrator or supervisor or as a faculty leader.
Preferred Qualification
- Prior teaching experience in health care or related disciplines.
- Background in health care or related disciplines.
- Background in health care and accreditation processes
Other Requirements
Former and/or current employees must be in good standing with Minneapolis College.
