Our holistic approach to patient care includes neuropsychology, infusion, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and neurodiagnostic services.
Coordinates and provides patient care.
- Triages calls from patients, physicians, and outside drug companies.
- Obtains and updates patients’ histories.
- Administers IV medications in office, as directed by physicians.
- Obtains and verifies patient’s insurance information.
- Assists with office procedures, as requested by physician.
- Enters data and information into the patient’s electronic medical record.
- Labs: may draw blood per MD orders, prepares, and sends to lab per protocol.
- Performs miscellaneous duties as requested by physicians and support staff
- Provides patients with educational materials and resources. Educate patients on medication and therapies.
- Answers patient questions regarding medications, reactions, and topics related to their neurologic condition.
- Participate in practice improvements by implementing changes to procedures/workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement, and assisting with the delivery of compassionate and personalized patient care.
Education and Experience:
- A.S. or B.S.N. degree in nursing.
- MN Licensure as a registered nurse.
- Four years of experience in nursing, with two years of experience with infusion therapy desired.
- Patient centered, strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines and troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Basic knowledge of neurology.
- Detail-oriented and organizational skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost judgment and discretion.
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook and EHR.
