Brief Description
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and independent Occupational Therapist to join our established outpatient neurology clinic. This position offers a unique opportunity to practice within a specialized neurology setting while collaborating closely with neurologists and a talented team of occupational and physical therapists across our five clinic locations.

- Adhere to rules & regulations regarding patient safety and privacy. Identify “red flags” and appropriately manage patients presenting with health concerns beyond the scope of OT.
- Provide high quality, comprehensive therapy, and customer service, including the development of maintenance therapy planning for appropriate patients.
- Provide efficient patient scheduling and services and assist in achieving team financial and patient/customer service goals.
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with physicians and other professionals.
- Adhere to rules & regulations regarding patient privacy and security.
- Adhere to all State, Federal, Medicare, Clinic and insurance-specific billing and coding regulations and policies.
- Adhere to all State, Federal, Medicare, Clinic and insurance-specific documentation regulations and guidelines.
- Provide timely, meaningful therapy progress to referring physicians, including the use of Rehab Updates as appropriate.
- Assess equipment/facility routinely for safely and functional efficiency.
- Assist with in-service training, program development and activities related to marketing and program expansion.
- Promote teamwork among all operating sites and between Clinic departments.
- Understand, adhere to, and assist with improvements of policies and procedures outlined in the Rehab Handbook and Emergency Operations Plan.
- Participate in practice improvements by implementing changes to procedures/workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement, and assisting with the delivery of compassionate and personalized patient care.
- Perform miscellaneous clerical and clinical duties.
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an approved school of Occupational Therapy.
- Licensed or eligible for licensure by the State of Minnesota, Minnesota Department of Health.
- Registered with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
- Minimum of two years of experience practicing as an occupational therapist in an outpatient setting with a focus on neurological conditions.
- Good human relations; Ability to work as a member of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Patient centered, strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines and troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Ability to work independently, exhibit mature judgment and make sound decisions.
- Strong focus on patient safety; ability to discern red flags and manage with exceptional judgment.
- Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost judgment and discretion.
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Office products and electronic health record.
