Key Accountabilities
- Perform leadership accountabilities to strengthen team performance and lead the clinic team toward meeting customer service and financial objectives.
- Serve as a host leader, supporting both general neurology and service line teams to meet daily operational needs in partnership with leader colleagues.
- Participate in process improvement and strategic initiative execution to achieve organization and site-based goals.
- Coordinate and oversee staff responsibilities for providers.
- Hire, train, supervise and manage performance of assigned staff.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of issues that impact providers, staff, and patients. Respond to patient complaints and address service concerns proactively.
- Maintain competency in frontline operational job responsibilities to effectively train incoming team members, lead operational workflow changes, and directly substitute for staff when needed. This includes functions like check-in and scheduling.
- Manage day-to-day operations including supply ordering, building facility needs, and other routine processes.
Education and Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent; bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
- 5 years of experience in a medical office or ambulatory setting
- 3 years of experience supervising medical office staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
- Experience working with patient electronic health record, EPIC experience strongly preferred.
- Collaborative management style with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Patient centered; strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines and troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Ability to work independently, exhibit mature judgment and make sound decisions.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with ICD-10/CPT coding desired.
- Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost judgment and discretion, including compliance with HIPAA requirements.
- Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
