Order Picker

Position Summary

Mink Contracting Services is seeking a reliable and organized Order Picker to help prepare materials, tools, and supplies for daily contracting and service projects. This position involves locating items, checking quantities, and gathering the correct materials so teams have what they need for scheduled jobs. The ideal candidate is attentive, comfortable with hands-on tasks, and able to keep supplies organized. No previous experience is required, and on-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Pick tools, building materials, hardware, and supplies according to work orders and project lists.
• Verify item descriptions and quantities before preparing materials for pickup or delivery.
• Organize selected items in designated staging areas for upcoming jobs.
• Check materials for visible damage, missing parts, or incorrect quantities.
• Label and sort supplies to help ensure they reach the correct project team.
• Assist with receiving and organizing incoming materials and equipment.
• Return unused items to their proper storage locations when projects are completed.
• Keep shelves, storage areas, and picking stations clean and organized.
• Update basic inventory records and report discrepancies when identified.
• Notify the appropriate team member when materials are low or unavailable.
• Help load and move supplies safely when preparing project orders.
• Assist with general warehouse and operational tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to read order lists and follow instructions.
• Basic counting and recordkeeping skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well with others.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials as needed.
• Willingness to learn safe material-handling procedures.
• No previous experience required; training provided.

• Interest in construction, contracting, tools, or home improvement supplies.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on environment.
• Ability to work at a steady pace while maintaining accuracy.
• Willingness to assist with different tasks as daily project needs change.

Pay: $22.30 - $23.30 per hour
