Key Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to manage daily schedules.
- Confirm patient appointments via phone, email, or text reminders.
- Maintain patient records and update scheduling information as needed.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Manage cancellations, rescheduling, and follow-up appointments.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other healthcare regulations regarding patient information.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to patient scheduling and office operations.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in medical administration is a plus.
- Previous experience in medical scheduling or healthcare administration preferred.
- Familiarity with EHR systems and scheduling software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.
