Available Location: Alpharetta, GA
Hybrid Working: Team members are expected to come into the Alpharetta office as needed, based on business requirements and team collaboration needs. There is no fixed minimum number of in-office days; instead, attendance will be determined by project demands, meetings, and manager guidance. Any changes to your primary work location should follow the appropriate process as outlined in our handbook.
What You'll Do:
As the Applications Associate, you will review new merchant applications and legacy accounts for accuracy during the boarding process and potential risk. The associate will utilize risk controls to screen merchant accounts and determine their suitability for a merchant relationship. Communicates comfortably with all levels of management and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review prospective and existing merchant accounts to be in-line with evaluation guidelines
- Evaluate fraud and risk exposure on new merchant accounts
- Ensure compliance with card brand (i.e., Visa, MasterCard, etc.) rules
- Review financial statements and evaluate prospective clients
- Prepare boarding documents for management review on accounts exceeding standard risk thresholds
- Negotiate collateral and/or other risk mitigation instruments as needed
- Collaborate with the Risk Team on issues involving existing accounts to mitigate fraudulent or high-risk transactions and help avoid merchant or company monetary losses
- Opportunities to expand responsibilities in assisting our Processing and Risk Teams
Who You Are:
- Passionate about process, accuracy, and doing the right thing in the right way. You’re excited by the prospect of enabling organizations to accept online payments to power their purpose.
- BA desired or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years of payment services industry experience, preferred
- Responsible for driving your own learning- you have been described as ambitious and goal-oriented
- Confident in creative problem solving and implementing effective solutions with a sense of urgency and assertiveness
- Ability to handle conflict in a professional and efficient manner
- Strong attention to detail while also having the ability to see the big picture
- Efficient task management
- Proven track record of handling multiple tasks simultaneously and thinking on your feet

- Must be able to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team
