Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories and vital signs, ensuring thorough documentation in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including setting up necessary equipment such as X-ray machines or preparing sterile fields for minor procedures.
- Support clinical staff with medication administration, wound care, and basic life support during emergencies or routine care.
- Perform clinical tasks such as drawing blood, performing EKGs, and assisting with specimen collection for laboratory testing.
- Manage medical administrative duties including ICD coding, appointment scheduling, and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Support physicians during procedures in various specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, or emergency medicine within inpatient or outpatient settings.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to hospital experience or Level II trauma center standards while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient service.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program.
- Proven experience working in hospital medicine, urgent care, outpatient clinics, or similar healthcare environments.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology relevant to diverse specialties including geriatrics and PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit).
- Familiarity with EHR systems and ICD coding processes for accurate documentation and billing.
- Ability to perform clinical procedures such as vital signs measurement, medication administration, X-ray assistance, and basic emergency response techniques like Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Experience working within Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers is highly desirable.
- Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate demeanor and ability to handle fast-paced environments such as emergency medicine or medical-surgical units.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
