Miniature Casting Corporation, a leader in the manufacturing of high quality precision components for the automotive, medical and electronics industries, is seeking an experienced mechanic to work in our facility as a manufacturing technician/ operator, Level II. If you enjoy using your mechanical aptitude for problem solving in a team-based environment, then we are looking for you to join our experienced crew.
Miniature Casting Corporation is looking to hire Production Mechanics for its Cranston, Rhode Island manufacturing facility. Starting salary will be commensurate with experience. Experienced technicians are encouraged to apply.
Ten years of advanced manufacturing experience for Level II or 7 years for Level I Mechanic , working with industrial machinery in production, is required. Specific die casting experience isn’t necessary, but a strong candidate would have a familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems and possess troubleshooting experience. Plastic injection molding machine experience is acceptable. Tool and die set up experience is a plus.
The ideal candidate will be a motivated individual with a can-do attitude that would be interested in learning a unique and important trade. The candidate would be capable of making adjustments to our machines and dies as necessary (training will be provided) and would have excellent troubleshooting skills.
Requirements:
- High School diploma required, post secondary schooling a plus
- Ten years of manufacturing experience, industrial machinery (non-CNC based work) for Level II,
- Seven years of manufacturing experience on industrial machinery for Level I
- Hydraulic experience
- Industrial machine experience, including set-ups, maintenance and repair
- Experience with high temperature products and equipment a plus
- Ability to lift 55-70 lbs on a regular basis and physically able to bend, stoop and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in difficult environment, including hot temperatures
- Working knowledge/understanding of ISO guidelines
- Experience with Quality Control and dimension checks
- Safety training experience
- Working knowledge of safe use of basic hand tools
- Interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to read and write in English fluently
Responsibilities:
- Die casting parts through a hot chamber method
- Maintaining machinery
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and tooling issues
- Repairing cylinders
- Set-up and removal of dies
- Replacing of valves
- Working with hot metal
- Maintaining safety guidelines
