Duties
- Greet customers warmly, take their food orders accurately, and process transactions efficiently using POS systems such as Square.
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
- Upsell menu items to increase sales and enhance customer satisfaction by recommending popular or new products.
- Manage customer orders from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and proper food handling practices for safety and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, including sanitizing surfaces, cleaning equipment, and adhering to sanitation standards for food safety management.
- Process cash transactions accurately, handle cash register operations, and balance cash drawers at the end of shifts.
- Support retail sales transactions when applicable, assisting customers with product inquiries and purchases in a retail environment within the food service setting.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, quick service restaurants, or fast food environments (not a must, but is a plus)
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and follow proper food handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions and managing register operations.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques (not a must, we can teach)
- Prior experience in restaurant or café settings is advantageous but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
