Duties
- Design and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate early childhood education principles, including literacy education, math concepts, and physical activities in preparation for kindergarten.
- Provide attentive supervision and care, ensuring each child’s health, safety, and emotional well-being are prioritized at all times.
- Manage classroom activities with effective classroom management techniques to foster positive behavior and social skills among children.
- Collaborate with families and other educators to develop individualized plans that support children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services.
- Conduct regular assessments of each child's developmental progress using standardized testing methods and document observations accurately.
- Plan engaging lesson plans that promote curiosity, motor skills development, and early childhood learning milestones.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to childcare safety standards and promotes child welfare.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
- Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education tailored for young children.
- Experience with special education practices and early intervention programs is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and team members.
- Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education Certification or related fields; ongoing professional development in literacy education and childcare best practices is encouraged.
