We’re seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Accountant to join our dynamic team in Trevose, PA and play a key role in our financial operations. This position is onsite, reporting 5 days in office and reporting to the Accounting Manager.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Corporate Accountant with a strong understanding of accounting principles. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions, including managing general ledger entries, assisting with audits, identifying process improvements, managing risks, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in accounting, strong analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring they are accurately stated and reconciled to the general ledger.
Oversee general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closings.
Support internal and external audits by providing requested financial documents.
Assist with tax preparation and filings as needed.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and automate manual processes.
Offer insights and strategies to mitigate financial risks and enhance accounting practices.
Handle ad hoc accounting projects as assigned.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve financial reporting.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the manufacturing/distribution industry, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software; SAP Business One experience is a plus.
Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables).
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
A self-starter with strategic thinking abilities and the capacity to function in a fast-paced, evolving business environment.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
