Job Description:
You will be responsible for the overall management of facilities, product, fleet management, employees, equipment, customer service requests, and overall day-to-day operations. The Depot Manager will be a self-motivated individual who will take ownership to fulfill clients and customers. Strong leadership skills, along with a high degree of communication, will be required. The Depot Manager will be confident in decision-making, multitasking, and problem-solving while keeping a positive persona. The Depot Manager will build, develop, and guide a united team to ensure all policies and procedures are followed and executed daily. Ultimately, the Depot Manager will follow all guidelines delegated from the Regional General Manager to lead and manage for the common good of the company.
Job Duties:
- Establishes and maintains a clean, safe work environment while working hands-on or independently, displaying a disciplined work style and strong work ethic.
- Manage and build a united team of delivery drivers and encourage good moral character.
- Manages route drivers' delivery of products, preventive maintenance of equipment while ensuring route drivers keep customer satisfaction a top priority.
- Maintains accurate records of invoices, purchase orders, and all documentation that is needed by the Central Office.
- Develops a deep understanding of the products, equipment, and all aspects of the company's policies and procedures.
- Plans, distributes, monitors, and follows up daily route assignments to ensure customers are serviced per company standards and agreements.
- Coordinating, scheduling, and delivering equipment as requested and following up to make sure equipment is fully operational and in working order.
- Communicates and follows up on sales opportunities, problems at customers' locations, repairs, freezer swaps, and safety issues reported by route drivers.
- Ordering, maintaining, and monitoring all product inventories.
- Monitors and follows up with fleet maintenance.
- Develops, teaches and manages all employees to follow all guidelines along with all policies and procedures established by the company
- Manages the end-of-day check-in process, capturing and communicating key service, safety, and daily operations.
- Travels to and from satellite offices, ensuring day-to-day operations are being fulfilled.
Job Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Business Management or related field (And or equivalent work experience in the related field with 5 years of Operational or Fleet management)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Valid Driver’s License
- Clean Driving Record (2 Years)
- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Outstanding Organizational and Leadership Skills
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Understanding of OSHA Requirements
- Understanding of DOT Regulations
