Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of patient care and demonstrate proficiency in various medical practices. This role requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality healthcare services, with a focus on patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment across diverse settings, including primary care, urgent care, and specialized fields.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical evaluations.
- Administer medications, injections, and IV infusions as needed while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and procedures such as suturing, catheterization, and spinal taps.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care in settings such as hospitals, clinics, and assisted living facilities.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and utilize EMR/EHR systems effectively (Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner).
- Provide education and health coaching to patients regarding disease management and preventive care.
- Manage acute pain management cases and participate in hospice & palliative medicine when necessary.
- Engage in clinical research initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and advance medical knowledge.
- Participate in telehealth services to expand access to care for patients.
Qualifications
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license with relevant certifications.
- Experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or urgent care preferred.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding, and medical documentation practices.
- Familiarity with various medical specialties including gastroenterology, pediatrics, geriatrics, infectious disease care, behavioral health, and more.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as well as experience with diagnostic imaging techniques (sonography).
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including children, seniors, and individuals with developmental disabilities.

Job Type: Contract
Base Pay: $50.00 - $61.85 per hour
