What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Handyman position at Mingles Soft Serve?
Hello! We are seeking a reliable individual to work from morning to early afternoon to help maintain and improve our putt-putt course. There are numerous projects, both small and large, and we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and ready to take them on. We open at noon and are looking for someone who can work primarily before customers arrive.
Your expertise will help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment by performing a variety of repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks. This position offers an exciting opportunity for someone with a broad skill set to make a tangible impact on the performance and appearance of our facilities.
Please note that most of this work will be completed when no one else is on site. Days and hours are flexible; we simply request a minimum number of hours worked per week. This is a seasonal position, expected to run from late February through early November.
Duties
- Cutting grass, trimming, and tending to flower gardens
- Conducting routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs and prevent issues before they arise
- Performing repairs involving plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, painting, and mechanical components
- Supervising or assisting with subcontractors during complex repair tasks when necessary
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and proper use of personal protective equipment during all maintenance activities
Skills
- Mechanical aptitude combined with experience in maintenance and repairs
- Knowledge of residential painting techniques to enhance property appearance
- Fiberglass repair knowledge is a plus, but not required
