What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Director position at Minerva Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center?
Minerva Healthcare and Rehab Center is now seeking a full time Maintenance Director. The successful candidate will have well rounded experience with providing maintenance in a building.
Responsibilities of Maintenance Director:
- Plan, develop, organize, and direct the Maintenance Department.
- Monitors the performance of maintenance staff by observing staff on all units, on all shifts and interviewing facility staff, residents, and families. Performs quality assurance functions, including regular compliance rounds.
- Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the facility policies
- Develop and maintain written maintenance policies and procedures.
- Assist the maintenance staff in the development and use of departmental policies, procedures, equipment, supplies, etc.
- Review the department’s policies, procedure manuals, job descriptions, etc., at least annually for revisions and make recommendations to the Administrator.
- Coordinate maintenance services and activities with other related departments (i.e., Dietary, Nursing, Activities, etc.).
Qualifications of Maintenance Director:
- One Year of Maintenance Experience
- Skills in carpentry, painting, electrical, and plumbing
- Knowledge of Fire and Life Safety
- Valid driver's license
