Job Description

Miners Underground, a pioneering leader in the telecommunications infrastructure industry, is excited to announce an opening for a Superintendent position. We are looking for a seasoned professional who is prepared to play a pivotal role in overseeing our projects that are essential in laying fiber optics and enhancing telecom services underground. This is a full-time position based in the vicinity of Harmony, MN and requires on-site presence, as it is not eligible for remote work. This role calls for a dynamic leader who can efficiently manage complex projects and ensure that our underground operations run smoothly and effectively.

The successful candidate for the Superintendent role will join a committed team devoted to innovative solutions in the telecom space, especially in the context of underground fiber installations. As a key component of our strategic operations team, the Superintendent will be instrumental in driving project success, maintaining safety standards, and optimizing team performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of underground fiber optic installation projects.
• Coordinate with other project supervisors to ensure all aspects of the projects are compatible.
• Develop and implement project schedules and work plans to ensure deadlines are met.
• Manage resources effectively, ensuring the availability of materials and equipment as needed.
• Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards at all project sites to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management.
• Maintain clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and team members.
• Problem-solve and troubleshoot issues that arise during the course of projects.
• Manage and resolve conflicts among project personnel and other stakeholders.
• Train new employees and provide continuous developmental guidance to all direct reports.
• Ensure environmental regulations are followed.
  
  

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Superintendent or similar role in construction or relevant field, preferably in telecommunications infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of fiber optic and other underground utility installations.
• Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a team.
• Excellent organizational abilities including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high proficiency in problem-solving.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments and timelines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with various stakeholders.
• Willingness to relocate to the Harmony, MN area or within a commutable distance.
• Familiarity with industry-standard project management software and tools.
• Compliance with all local, state, and federal safety requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field strongly preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role in the relevant industry.
