Duties And Responsibilities
- Set up jobsite safety devices including cones, barricades, signage, and trench safety equipment.
- Load and unload equipment and materials required for the job.
- Inspect vehicles and trailers to ensure proper loading and safe transport.
- Stock trucks with necessary job materials and supplies.
- Maintain and clean drilling equipment and tools regularly.
- Utilize hand tools or equipment to dig and expose existing utilities, ensuring minimal disruption.
- Guide and direct laborers and other field staff on site.
- Operate directional drilling equipment to efficiently perform drilling operations.
- Restore the jobsite to company standards post-operation, ensuring no residue of work remains.
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members on job specifications and progress.
- Take proactive ownership of site safety, ensuring that all crew members adhere to established safety protocols.
- 1-3 years of directional drilling experience, including setup, calibration, drilling, and pullback operations.
- 3 years of experience operating a 20,000 lb or larger drill.
- Experience with DCI F2 locating system.
- Experience with Underground Magnetics 5S locating system.
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
- Reliable personal transportation.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a mindset of “finding a way to make it work”.
- Ability to meet physical demands of the job including lifting 50 lbs, bending, digging, and standing/walking for extended periods.
- Capable of working in variable weather conditions.
- Must pass a drug test prior to employment.
- English/Spanish bilingual skills are a plus, enhancing communication across diverse teams.
