Position: Recreation Director
Mineral Springs in North Conway, NH is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Recreation Director to join our team! We are a revitalized, locally led community excited to welcome someone who shares our passion for engaging and enriching the lives of our residents. Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and lead engaging recreational activities and programs tailored to residents' interests and needs
Work closely with the team to develop programming that enhances quality of life and supports resident well-being
Maintain a welcoming, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants
Foster strong relationships with residents and encourage social connection and participation
Oversee event planning, budgeting, and community outings
Collaborate with other staff to align activities with resident care plans
Requirements:
Previous experience in recreation, event planning, or community activities (experience in senior living or similar setting is a plus)
Eligible for certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist or activities professional by a recognized accrediting body (on or after October 1, 1990)
2 years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last 5 years, with at least one full-time year in a therapeutic activities program
Qualified as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant
Completed a state-approved training course
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
High energy, creativity, and a passion for making every day special
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
