Responsibilities
Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools. Perform heavy lifting and manual labor such as moving supplies, equipment, and materials around the site. Support carpentry tasks including framing, trim carpentry, and installing metal stud framing. Help with concrete work by operating mixers, pouring, finishing, and pumping concrete as needed. Participate in rebar installation, concrete forming, and masonry activities to ensure structural integrity. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely for various tasks like caulking, plastering, tile laying, and flooring installation. Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and assist in executing renovation or restoration projects.
Requirements
Previous construction site experience is highly preferred; familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics is a plus. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the workday. Knowledge of construction techniques including concrete finishing, stucco application, roofing, and metal stud framing. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and commercial driving is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of construction estimating processes are beneficial. Excellent teamwork skills with a safety-first mindset; ability to follow detailed instructions accurately.
