About the Role
We’re looking for a Backend Engineer who’s passionate about building scalable, resilient systems and wants to play a key role in developing the Mindworks enterprise platform. You’ll work closely with our engineering and product teams to architect, build, and deploy backend services that power our next-generation cloud platform.

What You’ll Do
- Build robust backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript
- Design and implement scalable APIs and microservices
- Model relational data and write performant queries (MySQL/Postgres)
- Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform
- Containerize applications with Docker
- Leverage AWS services to build cloud-native solutions
- Contribute across the full development lifecycle—from design to deployment
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver high-quality features
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code
What We’re Looking For
- 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience
- 3 years with Node.js
- 2 years with TypeScript
- Experience with relational databases (MySQL or Postgres)
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and a collaborative mindset
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to commute to our Pittsburgh (Bridgeville), PA office
Bonus Points
- Experience building enterprise or B2B SaaS products
- Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code experience
- Docker or other containerization tools
