We are looking for a Unix/Linux Systems Administrator to join our UNIX Operations team. This position will be full-time, on-site, and is a 6-12 month contract role. With employees expected to work onsite 5 days per week.

What You'll Do
- Provide Linux support for approximately 300 servers
- Perform system maintenance, including OS patching and remediation of Secunia OS vulnerabilities following regular security audits
- Conduct quarterly patching of RedHat systems to meet strict PCI security requirements
- Maintain compliance with the technology roadmap through OS and hardware upgrades, 3rd party software upgrades, and system standardization/automation
- Address incident tickets and resolve them promptly
- Collaborate with IT and business clients at all levels of the organization
- Install, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and related software
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of Linux-based infrastructure
- Develop and manage Ansible playbooks and the Ansible Automation Platform
- Manage and upgrade Satellite 6 and VMware
- Participate in rotating on-call Unix/Linux support within a 24x7 environment
- Document work thoroughly and ensure clear communication across teams
- Research and develop new technology solutions to meet business initiatives and management vision
What You'll Need
- 10 years of experience in systems administration
- Proficiency in RHEL Linux 8/9 administration and patch management
- Experience with Linux server builds and custom configurations
- Strong performance tuning skills, particularly for Oracle database servers
- Expertise in server security vulnerability management and SolarWinds monitoring
- Solid knowledge of automation and server migrations
- Hands-on experience in Ansible playbook development, Ansible Automation Platform management, Satellite 6 upgrades, and VMware operations
- Advanced troubleshooting skills
- Strong skills in TCP/IP networking, network topology, and firewalled environments
- Basics in storage management, database administration, Windows administration, cloud integration, and Veritas NetBackup management
- Knowledge of applications like JBoss, WebSphere, Splunk, and Client ALM
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
