Our mission is to develop the next generation of skilled, compassionate nurses through high-quality, outcomes-driven education. We are seeking a visionary and experienced Dean of Nursing (DON) to lead our Practical Nursing and Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) programs.
Position Overview
The Dean of Nursing is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all academic, operational, and compliance aspects of our LPN and ADN programs. The ideal candidate brings strong management experience in LPN or ADN nursing education programs, a passion for student success, and a proven track record of NCLEX preparation and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the Practical Nursing and ADN programs, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
- Supervise and mentor nursing faculty and support staff to promote a culture of academic excellence and professional development.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve curriculum and instructional strategies that drive NCLEX pass rates and clinical competency.
- Analyze program data to inform strategic decisions related to enrollment, student retention, faculty performance, and NCLEX outcomes.
- Maintain active partnerships with clinical sites and healthcare organizations to ensure robust clinical training opportunities.
- Ensure adherence to all board of nursing and accreditation standards.
- Represent the nursing program in internal and external meetings, regulatory reviews, and public presentations.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license.
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in Nursing; Doctorate preferred.
- 3–5 years of management experience in LPN or ADN programs.
- Proven success in leading programs with strong NCLEX outcomes.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead a large team and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
