Position Summary:
We are seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager with strong experience in the design and planning phases of civil projects. The ideal candidate will manage multidisciplinary teams and oversee a variety of civil design projects, including:
- Residential, commercial, and industrial site development
- Roadway and transportation design
- Stormwater modeling and green infrastructure
- Capital improvement and trail design projects
This role is focused on design and planning, not construction management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and deliver multiple civil engineering design projects from concept through completion.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams in the preparation of civil engineering plans and reports.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and quality assurance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
- Conduct technical and civil plan reviews to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required)
- 6–10 years of progressive civil engineering experience, with a focus on design and project management
- Demonstrated experience in site design, drainage, stormwater, and roadway projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience managing budgets, schedules, and staff
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or ability to obtain in the future
